The meal planner page shows your current meal plan and gives you the option to swap out recipes you don’t like, to copy recipes to other days and meal slots, to edit your nutritional settings, to ‘favourite’ recipes, add your own recipes and custom ingredients, and much more.
Enter your custom calorie target or let us calculate it for you. Once your target has been entered the meal planner will only find recipes that fit within your calorie goal.The macro meal planner can be found by clicking on the ‘Create Plan’ button and then ‘Advanced Setup’. Once you have entered your macro targets for protein, carbs, and fats along with your other nutritional settings you can hit the button ‘Create My Diet Meal Plan!’ and your meal plan will be generated automatically. Preset macro ratios for the keto diet, zone diet and others can be entered here or you can let us set the values for you if you select the ‘Popular Diets’ option found within the ‘Create Plan’ section.

Each diet plan selected can be customised according to things such as your personal statistics, current physical condition, activity levels and whether you want to lose fat, stay in shape, or gain muscle. It can be personalised to whether you are a vegan or not, if you have any allergies such as gluten, also including the option for halal and kosher recipes only. You can even tell the planner that you prefer to only drink smoothies in the morning. Once your diet plan is set up, the meal planner automatically finds recipes to match the diet plan criteria. Have a look at the suggested recipes that are produced for you automatically and adjust until you get what is right for you.

You can set custom nutritional targets on the nutritional criteria page (found in ‘Meal Plan Settings’ or ‘Advanced Setup’ page). You can set your goals for calories, macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat), sugar, saturated fat, fibre, and sodium.

Once your diet is set up you may edit the nutritional targets for each individual day.

We allow you to do this with the help of our powerful recipe search tool.

You can set the criteria to return any type of recipe you wish, including only returning recipes that do or don’t contain a particular ingredient we also let you search recipes by all their nutritional values.

The meal planner comes with a grocery list that is generated automatically upon creating your plan. If you have signed up for the weekly planner you can adjust which days the shopping list is for.

Grocery List

After your meal plan has been created you can check out the grocery list function, which lets you know all the ingredients you need to make the recipes.

Make use of the pantry function if you would like the grocery list to recognise when you already have certain ingredients stocked at home.

Once you are happy with the list and have removed any ingredients you don’t need you can then export the shopping list to a PDF for you to either print off or have on your phone when you go to do your shopping.

Download your diet plan to PDF. This includes the 7 day meal plan summary, the shopping list as well as the instructions and nutritional information for all of the recipes. Much better than using excel templates.
