Want your children to eat vegetables?

Early intervention is key in most situations, and research completed by the University of College London suggests just that when introducing children to vegetables.

Researchers asked mothers to introduce five vegetables each day as “first foods” for a period of 5 days while weaning.

Babies were later introduced to a new vegetable, and enjoyed if much more than those who were not previously conditioned to try new vegetables.

Researchers cite variety, not quantity, to help children remain receptive to new flavors and textures.
