Vegetables: Fresh vs Frozen

Ever get yelled at for staring into the microwave and watching food cook? Good news- the microwave won’t hurt you, or your vegetables.

The American Chemical Society would argue that not only is microwaving safe, it’s sometimes also healthier than fresh veggies.

Frozen vegetables that are picked at peak freshness are then cooked without added fats in the microwave, without losing nutrients like you do when vegetables are boiled.

But really – are they still better than fresh? At the very least, you could argue that they are just as good.
