Ingredients

Penne Pasta
Pesto (Basil)
Parmesan Cheese
Broccoli
Pork Sausage
Preparations
Chop broccoli into bite-size pieces.
  
Cooking Instructions
1. Boil a large pot of lightly salted water.

2. Add the broccoli and cook for about 1 ½ minutes.

3. Remove broccoli with a slotted spoon and set aside.

4. Add the pasta to the same water and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

5. Meanwhile, using the tip of a knife, slice through the sausage casing, lengthways. Peel away the casing and discard.

6. Heat oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat, add the sausage, and break up meat with a wooden spoon and cook until browned.

7. Add the broccoli and cook for about 2 minutes.

8. Add a few tbsp of the pasta water with the pesto and combine well

9. Add the cooked pasta and half the Parmesan and combine together.

10. Serve in a bowl with the remaining Parmesan sprinkled over the top and a little black pepper.
