Ingredients

Sugars, granulated
Penne Pasta
Garlic
Roma Tomatoes
Capers (canned)
Basil Leaves
Olive Oil
Asparagus
Lemon Juice
Black Pepper
Salmon (canned)
Preparation
1. Trim, slice thinly and diagonally the asparagus. 
  
2. Finely dice the tomatoes. 
  
3. Crush the garlic. 
  
4. Rinse the capers 
  
5. Finely chop the fresh basil. 
  
6. Drain and flake the salmon.

Cooking
1. Cook the pasta according package instructions until al dente. Add the asparagus 30 seconds towards the end of cooking time. Drain well and return to saucepan. 
  
2. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, capers, basil, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, a pinch of sugar and pepper. 
  
3. Add the salmon and tomato mixture to the pasta and mix well. 
  
4. Serve in a bowl and garnish with basil.
